Despite years and years of practice, Christmas shopping can still be a difficult challenge. As fun as it is to buy others gifts, it can be difficult to find something new to give the same person every year.  I added gift guides at the beginning of this "12 days of Christmas" thing, but I've decided to give you 6 more guides that may help with that last minute shopping.

9 Ways to Wrap a Christmas Gift

Okay, I have been way off my game lately. With my Christmas to-do list as well as a recent interest in cross stitching has made me a little behind on my blog posts, but I hope that all will be forgiven when you see all the tips and Christmas inspiration I have in store for ya'll.

12 Things to Buy Her

As you may or may not realize today begins the real countdown until Christmas. There are 12 days left and with that comes great love and joy, but it can be coupled with great stress and anxiety if you have a long list of people left to buy for and nothing to wear to all the holiday parties. 

I have taken it upon myself to help those that need saving with a little blog special called "The 12 Days of Christmas. " How original am I, by the way, with that title?!

5 Outfits to Go with Leggings

Leggings are a staple in your cold weather closet, but do you believe you've exhausted their wear? I've got 5 different options of leggings as well as outfits to go with them that may revamp your legging looks. There is nothing wrong with always being comfortable, but who says you have to always look the same?

1. Leather leggings: This may be the most uncomfortable of the 5 options, but they are certainly the edgiest. Embrace your inner rockstar by donning leather this fall.

2. Floral leggings: A typically summer pattern looks great in the winter when given some more masculine pieces such as a leather jacket and combat boots. Besides thin stripes, I would be careful when mixing another pattern with such a strong one. 

3. Fleece leggings: There is no reason that patterns such as this should be kept for quilts in wood cabins, so wear this winter special with neutrals and gold accents.

4. Leopard leggings: Leopard print is a bold statement that can go from day to night. Pair it with black and red for a classic combination that rarely fails. 

5. Black leggings (nighttime): To make plain black leggings go from day to night, pair them with something pastel and feminine such as this pink, strapless dress. Make sure the dress isn't too long, so that it doesn't look lumpy with your leggings underneath. A pair of booties and chunky silver necklaces  pull the look together. 

5 Great Colors for This Season

This season there are 5 colors that I highly recommend you have in your closet. I love how this season it's not just a sea of black that signifies fall's presence, but instead 5 gorgeous hues. All of them actually look great together, so feel free to mix and match. Another option, that I have decided to go with, is getting pants and scarves in these colors, so blue jeans and neutral accents don't have to be worn everyday.

1. Wine: A lot like oxford, this color is great for evening. Pair it with basic colors like tan and black or go a little more daring by mixing wine separates together (as long as they're the same hue).

2. Navy: Navy is such a basic color, but I think it often gets overlooked when winter rolls around. It's beautiful with light shades of brown, but also looks great with mustard.

3. Mustard: This color has been trendy for a couple falls, but I don't think it's been fully embraced yet. Mustard pants and scarves work as good accent pieces. Each can be paired with gray for a daytime look.

4. Army Green: With camouflage making a comeback, army green is less of a risk. Since it's such an androgynous color, make sure to pair it with something that's not too masculine, so you still look feminine. I love this color with floral or with navy stripes. It's also great when there's a chambray layer somewhere in the look.

5. Eggplant: This is another great night color. I love it with a long dress or for a New Year's Eve party. It would look great with gold or with silver accessories. 

5 Things to NEVER Wear

DISCLAIMER: I am about to bash 5 different products that I have the absolute strongest hatred for. It's going to be mean, and it's going to be uncalled for. Scratch that. It's completely called for.

1. Crocs: There is absolutely no reason to wear these horrendous shoes. Ever. I did a persuasive speech on why you should never wear Crocs freshman year, and I don't remember any of the points except that they're hideous... which I feel like should be enough of a reason.

2. Uggs: Like all other items on this list, they're just plain ugly. Even the name is unattractive. I say "ugh" every time I see someone wearing them, because I'm disgusted. Also, Uggs with number 5 on this list literally makes me nauseous, but happens far too often. My last little venting sentence for this number: if you live in Florida and wear these on the first day it gets cold, I will judge you.

3. Snuggies: America is just so darn lazy. A blanket with sleeves cannot be made cute. At first it was just some humorous piece that was sold on TV, but now it has become a phenomenon that I just can't support. If you have something funny on the Snuggie (like a TMNT outfit), I will hate you less, but try to avoid them at all costs. 

4. Juicy tracksuits: It's not the 90's anymore, folks. If you're interested in being nostalgic please listen to the Spice Girls or watch "Crossroads," but never put on a juicy track suit. They're horrible separate, but together is 20 times as bad. 

5. Jean Miniskirts: As I already mentioned, some things from the 90's should just stay there. There are so many options out there for skirts nowadays that I can't even imagine what would make you resort to a jean skirt. I have yet to see an outfit with one that looks chic. 

5 Holiday Decoration DIY's

Apparently, it's already December (where did the time go?!), and holiday decorating season is in full gear. As a poor and creative college student, DIY Christmas decorations are the perfect alternative to the $20 per item deals at the stores. Also, making these crafts with your girlfriends can be a ton of fun. 

The following items look relatively easy to make, but if they are a bit more challenging and you feel you need directions, you can click my Polyvore link to the left, find the image, and get connected with its original site. 

1. Christmas trees: The tree is arguably the most important decoration, but who said you can't make one yourself or preserve space by attaching it to the wall instead. Here are a few alternatives to the usual evergreen: 

2. Centerpieces: A centerpiece can be a small addition to a dining room table, since it's such a central point in a home, can really liven up the Christmas spirit. Here are many options to choose from: 

3. Wall art: This is probably the easiest of the 5 options to carry out. All you have to do is find a site that offers free printable pieces or find quotes, such as the ones I did, print them out, and frame them. These can be hung anywhere in the house and can even just temporarily replace large photographs during the holiday season. 

4. Ornaments: If indeed you do have room for a Christmas tree (or if you want to make them as gifts), ornaments are a classic decoration. These ornaments just take a little time, but can become personalized treasures that you keep for many years. 

5. Garland: Garland looks great hung over a mantel, above a TV, or really anywhere there's a wide space. It's an extremely inexpensive option as well. I these love the creative versions I found:
