For many places around the world, fall is upon them. In fact winter is about to rear it's ugly head as well. Unfortunately, for me, as a Floridian, shorts and tanks are still being worn since the weather has not demanded more. That doesn't stop me from collecting my fall favorites and donning them the second it hits 65 degrees.
Here are my five favorite fall trends this year:
1. Cozy knitwear: there's no way you are getting me to show any skin after my Thanksgiving dinner demolition. Not to mention I've mentally allowed myself to eat fast food and avoid the gym like a plague since I knew fall meant sweaters. Again, Florida is screwing me over, but I still dream of the day when these 2 sizes too large sweaters can be worn again.
2. Delicate rings: This is one of my favorite trends that I hope makes a permanent appearance in my style eventually. I love the idea of having at least 7 rings on at all times, but that they are so thin and tiny that they do not take away from my outfit. Small stackable rings and knuckle rings are also a must for this season. Collect your favorites from different locations or buy them in bulks until you have the perfect matches.
3. Boots: I don't know about you, but I love the day I get to pull my boots out from the depths of my closet. There are so many great styles out nowadays from riding boots to combat boots to booties. Find the lengths and styles that suit you and try to stock up on the in the summer or at the end of the season, so you can make sure to get good quality at a much cheaper price.
4. Oxblood: This colors just oozes fall, but at the same time gives it a little touch of sexy. The color is deep and mysterious and would be fantastic for night, as an accessory, or as a lipstick/nail color.
5. The messy bun: If my hair was long and flowy and perfect, I wouldn't need to seek up-do alternatives, but since it's not the case, messy buns are wonderful. They take 2 seconds to do and look like they took that long, yet they're adorable. Plus, during the winter everything is a static magnetic and your skin is dry. Having your hair down gets irritating with these conditions, so knot it atop your head instead!
